IAWL Member Code of Conduct
All members of the IAWL agree to uphold and abide the following Code of Conduct which may be amended from time to time.
1.1 All lawyers who are members of the IAWL ("Members") shall remain members in good standing of their local bar association. If a member fails to remain in good standing with their local bar association, they will inform the IAWL as soon as practical.
1.2 A Member shall not contribute information, resources or material on a topic or subject matter that is outside the Member's area of expertise or is in an area the Member knows they do not have competency.

1.3 A Member shall not initiate contact with any other Member to offer unsolicited legal services.

1.4 A Member shall not enter into any agreement whereby clients are referred to another Member in exchange for payment or promise of payment.

1.5 A Member shall observe all local rules regarding attorney conduct when communicating or engaging with other Members.
​
1.6 Members shall be truthful in their statements to others, even those who aren’t Members.
